SAM’s FinnFriend program’s autumn started this year with a garden visit to the Kumpula School Garden! The weather was brisk and clear as we walked around admiring the autumn harvest in the setting sun. Some of the harvest also went home with the guests as bouquets and pumpkins.

The evening was crowned by a bonfire, hot pumpkin spice lattes, and small treats. Stories were exchanged about American-Finnish ancestry, Halloween, and even American football.

Thank you to all the guests and Lasten ja nuorten puutarhayhdistys for a wonderful autumn evening!

The event was a part of SAM Helsinki’s FinnFriend program, which aims to bring Finns and Americans together. The primary language of the events is English. Read more about FinnFriend by clicking this link!
